AZ's Speaker of the House is a Republican I can respect.

I may, in the eyes of men, not hold correct opinions or act according to their vision or convictions, but I do not take this current situation in a light manner, a fearful manner or a vengeful manner, he said. I do not want to be a winner by cheating. I will not play with laws I swore allegiance to. With any contrived desire toward deflection of my deep, foundational desire to follow Gods will as I believe he led my conscience to embrace. How else will I ever approach him in the wilderness of life knowing that I ask this guidance only to show myself a coward in defending the course he led me to take.

(17,175 posts)And hooked up to the network stream thru VLC player, so the terrier and I watched most of it live from the comfort of our futon. I think the Az. speaker could be a hard person to like but gotta give him his due for doing the right and honest thing.
The committee picked a couple of tough and resilient women in Ruby and Shaye; at times I thought there was a waver in one of the voices, then they gathered themselves and carried on. Persisted. I don't cry easily but the thought of good, decent people being ruined and intimidated by a lie from that cheating, lying, grifting bastard tfg almost had me.
Hope you are well....

like a bug, and for what? Because they arent human to him (well, nobody is) and the cruelty is the point.
I hope they recover. Shaye is pretty shattered.
Im doing well. An old friend was here for several days because her little house is undergoing major changes, and I hope shell be back because she cheered me up no end. Next week my 17 year old grandson will be over for a few days, and that will also be a treat.
