We haven't had a thread about Michael Avenatti in a while.

To be fair to Avenatti I would estimate 97% of folksy stories with laborious messages that trial lawyers use in closings are totally invented.

Prosecutors’ sentencing memo is in for Michael Avenatti in the @StormyDaniels fraud, and they have some news about the “when my father was a teenager he sold hot dogs at a ballpark” line from closings. 🌭

“The tale instead is one that the defendant’s standby counsel…”

Maybe that is why he figured Trump out so easily. They’re exactly alike!

Good reminder that just because you like what someone says doesn't mean they should hold office.

Some people love celebrities, and really that's what it's all about.

Good morning from New York.

Michael Avenatti is about to be sentenced for defrauding Stormy Daniels, by a judge who denied his request to wear a suit today.

I'll be covering it live.

Background on that suit ruling, via @MarisaRSarnoff, @LawCrimeNews.
