Proposing new holiday Patriots Day Jan 7, 2021 - A Reminder with the Hearings Coming Up!

Since we now know a coup and insurrection was planned and executed on Jan 6th 2021 to turn over a free and fair US election causing several deaths and injuries, it's time to recognize those that gave all and saved Democracy on that historic day. Freedom was disrupted on that fateful day, but Democracy lived on the following day, Jan 7th 2021 when US Congress Certified the election. Think, for a moment where would Ukraine be today if that had not happened? Democracy in Europe? NATO?

Since we now have a few Patriots Days, this date also stands out as a reminder of the Patriots that held to the Constitution and their oath to carry out their duty that day and elections going forward.

Somebody please run this up the Flag Pole. There's a huge need to bring the public to speed before these hearings come out next month, June 2022.

What happened on Jan 6 was a lot more than doing their job. An armed mob of thousands of people attacked the shrine of democracy. People died, people were killed, people were maimed, people suffered physical and emotional injuries. I don’t know where you work or what you do, but if the same thousands showed up at your workplace threatening to kill you while in possession of explosives, firearms, tasers, clubs, axes, crowbars, chemical weapons, spears, all sorts of household items turned into weapons, it would make doing your job difficult, very difficult. I don’t care what you do, teacher, dentist, auto mechanic, librarian, cashier, accountant, bartender, shelf stocker, maintenance person, congressman. When thousands show up, violently break into your workplace threatening to kill you, it’s more, much more than doing your job.

The House, The Senate and the VP stayed and finished the work of the transfer of power. It was not peaceful, it was violent, ugly and sadly un-American. Pence was no hero, but he did hang in there. Pence Appreciation is only to anger Trump.
