(80 posts)Again into harms way. And to a country that frankly poses little to no threat to America. Ive worked extensively in that region. Ethiopia is a disaster
Yemen is a disaster. Neither of which will ever be fixed by our military or anyone elses. Our military is already in the region
announced or not offshore of Yemen. The SAS are on the border area of Oman. Both countries are isolated non threats. They literally send out small 20 ft boats to board vessels, and this is no longer effective and been neutralized.
They are not across from Iran. They have zero impact on Saudi.
This is not what I want to see at all. Help me understand but I want our troops at home.

(15,325 posts)I believe it might have to do with Ergogen making a deal on Somali oil fields.
I had read , before Putin invaded Ukraine, about Russia & Erdogan moving on global Oil field aquistions & Erdogan was dealing on Somalia.
Wish I could remember where I read it !
That's the gistt of the story, & I donnnn't recall what Putin wanted, just that hee was somewhere in the mix.
I do recall the part about Erdogan wanting an exclusive deal on Somalia's rich oilfields.
Doubt it would be a peaceful deal cinsidering all the players in that region, & eachh seems equipped with their own terrorist organization.
Just throwing this out there.
