Hey, guys - if "Superstorm Sandy" is bearing down on you...

I just heard that Sandy made landfall a couple of minutes ago. I hear it's been downgraded from hurricane status, but it's still capable of doing a lot of damage. Be safe up there, okay? Hold onto each other and tell them how much you love them.

Love you guys. Hang in there.

We are experiencing the shear of Sandy mixing with the cold front that has been stalled here for 5 days.

Winds are 40± here.

It will. I'm near Harrisburg, PA - the direct path it is on. The shit hasn't even come close to hitting the fan yet but stuff is flying everywhere. If it isn't nailed down, it won't be where it was by tomorrow. I just shut down my main server to keep the UPS battery available for lights. This one worries me. I've been through many before, including the one that flooded Ellicott City in 1972 (forget the name). This one's on a path to be the worst ever.
