Faithful flock to miraculous image of deity in Nebraska Kitchen
When Mary-jean Allen made dinner for her children last Thursday she never expected her kitchen was about to become an international shrine. As she served her assembled family, little Christopher, 6, was the first to notice that his dinner had transmogrified into a startlingly realistic three-dimensional image of high-carb deity The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
The likeness was so uncanny that even skeptics could find no rational explanation. Neighbor Delmar Bobbin, 38, said, "If I didn't know better I would think I was looking right at a mass of spaghetti. It makes you think."
As word of the amazing apparition spread the Allen home became the center of a storm of interest. "We've seen license plates from more than forty states, " Mrs. Allen told this reporter. I got tired of answering the door so I set it out on the driveway where everyone could get a good look."
