went for the "easy target". According to the Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center, the KKK had dwindled to just a couple of hundred members. When President Obama was elected the membership soared to over 6,000 members. Although that number doesn't seem extremely large, these people are really bat shit crazy! They seem much more radicalized than in years past, at least IMHO. And I'm sure, armed to the hilt!!!

They were having a resurgence back then as well. When the economy is bad or perceived to be bad, ignorant rednecks blame it minorities and think running around in bedsheets will somehow help them. I'm sure it doesn't hurt their enrollments that the president is Black either.
