What have we become?

I watched the reports of Ukrainians, women, children, old, young, getting onto trains for Poland. Men with them as far as the border, then turning around to go back and fight.

Businesses, homes, lives abandoned. A lifetime gone in a day.

Imagine if you had to leave all you've worked for and built, with nothing but a couple of suitcases and whatever you could get out of an ATM.

Imagine 3/4ths of the city of Detroit, or Chicago, or Cleveland, or Little Rock just being abandoned in a day.

And what Americans seem to be most concerned about, is that they may pay 50 cents, or a dollar more for gas. Our heating bills may go up by as much as a candy bar a day.

Is 2 or 3 less Café Lattes a week really going to prevent us from helping our fellow freedman?

We have been asked to sacrifice nothing, because we've spent 40 years with Retrumplican fucksticks telling us that "sacrifice is a form of weakness".
