The Republican National Committee tried to honor its favorite presidents on Presidents Day.
It didnt go well.
The official GOP account tweeted a meme mocking President Joe Biden while celebrating Richard M. Nixon and Donald Trump, among others:
Its unclear why the RNC chose those specific presidents. Its not simply a reverse-order list of the most recent Republicans in the Oval Office, as it skips Gerald Ford and Herbert Hoover. Its also not a list of the most popular GOP presidents, as it omits Theodore Roosevelt, who consistently ranks near the top of polls and surveys.

(7,809 posts)Jacobus was born in the early 1960s. That would make her in her 30s in the 1990s, building up her career. Is she really trying to say that she does not remember Newt Gingrich, Ken Starr, and the rest of that lot? Has she never heard of Nixon or Ford's pardon of? Those were disgusting, anti-American and stupid.
Any rethug who was still a rethug after the Brooks Brothers riot has to do a lot more than say nasty things about the current crop of toxic weeds to rehabilitate him or herself.
