Per the Guardian: Here’s more on the reports that an explosion took place in central Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.

According to the Tass news agency, the large explosion occurred near a government building in the separatist-held city.

Separatist authorities in east Ukraine say a car was blown up in the centre of Donetsk, Tass news agency said.

Russia’s Interfax news agency reports no one was hurt by the explosion.

Have you read about the NATO anti-missile missile bases coming on-line in Poland and Romania? That may be what this is all about - Putin wants those gone.

There was resistance under Stalin but he was ruthless in maintaining control. They regained independence when the Soviet Union dissolved.

Russia is not in de facto control of Crimea? Are not pro-Russian force in control of Donetsk and Luhansk?

For backing off, Putin ended up with more than he started.

Maybe if everyone stands up for Ukraine they will only lose control of three more regions, this time.

Thank goddess for all the journalists there making sure this aggression doesn't go unnoticed.

I just don't think most of the civilized world will tolerate this. Of course, that eliminates MAGATs.
