TASS reporting Russian troops to return to garrisons.

This article was published within the hour. I believe the Western District is the one that borders Ukraine. Let's hope!

MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Russian troops will return to their garrisons upon the completion of drills and units of Russia’s Southern and Western Military Districts have begun loading their equipment for their departure, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said in a statement on Tuesday.

"As combat training measures are coming to a close, the troops, as is always the case, will conduct combined marches to their permanent garrisons. Units of the Southern and Western Military Districts that have accomplished their tasks have already begun loading personnel and equipment on railway and auto transport means and will today begin heading to their military garrisons," the statement says.

Some units will conduct foot marches as part of military columns, according to the statement.

It was earlier reported that troops of almost all of Russia’s Military Districts were participating in massive drills.

A defence ministry statement, carried on Russian media, said it was withdrawing some of the troops conducting exercises in military districts bordering Ukraine.

Some exercises are continuing, such as a large joint Russia-Belarus drill, due to end on 20 February.

It's not over until it's over. And it won't be entirely over until Putin respects the national borders of other countries. He annexed Crimea in 2014, has issued more than a half million Russian passports to residents of Ukraine since 2019, invaded Georgia in 2008, etc.

he didn't expect such a forceful and united front from NATO, he expected to have very little opposition from NATO, but he guessed wrong.

I shudder to think how far Putin would have gone if the Mango Menace were still in power. but thank our lucky stars that we had an actual loyal and patriotic master politician in Pres. Biden at the helm at exactly the right time, he didn't back down, he didn't bluff, he was very forceful with Putin as to what would happen upon Russian forces crossing the Ukrainian border.

I still don't trust Putin one bit but I think we're seeing a de-escalation by Putin because of Pres. Biden uniting NATO against him.
