I was sharing coffee this AM - the lawyer I was chatting with brought up Kamala

He thinks Biden should nominate her for SC.

We got into a long winded , multiple refill discussion. He still owes my dad for a football bet, and I owe him a hot dog cuz I bet him last year that tRump would FLEE the country (.....gonna happen}

Anyways, I LOVED the idea, but I do not believe she has ever argued before the SC. In my world that didn't seem right.

I think Kamala SC is a fantasy I want to sleep with.........

Why would she be a better SC Justice than a VP or eventual President?

Why go with someone who's 57 when you could appoint someone younger?

The problem would be that Biden would then have to appoint a replacement VP, and that person would have to be confirmed by both houses of Congress. Do we really want that sort of controversy now, on top of everything else? I don't think Biden does. There is a short list of highly-qualified and experienced, currently sitting federal judges who could walk right into the job. Harris couldn't.

Nominating her to the SC, would be a nice exit ramp for her, because if Biden doesn't run in 2024, and Kamala becomes nominee (being the likely successor), I don't believe she could win, even in a free and fair election, and especially with the rigging the Rs are planning....IMHO....

And then of course top of the ticket in 24 or 28.

But I'm good with any pick by Biden!!

We spent almost 1.5 hrs going over the constitution.....

THE PRES GETS TO PICK THE New VP !!!!!! - has to be approved by the congress, but that's OK for a year or so. '

I know it sounds nutz...... sounded awesome after my 3rd cup of coffee.......

Is it in any way REAL??

He wants the confirmation process to be completed ASAP. And as I said before, there is a short list of highly qualified sitting federal judges, one of whom is almost certain to be chosen. Harris has never been a judge. There's no reason why she should be appointed to SCOTUS over anyone on that list.
