A observation at store this morning maga tribe is bitching about COVID

Our district is cyber school until further notice reason COVID explosion, as in the district has had more omicron diagnoses in three weeks than they had COVID positive last year.

At the store I and employees were only mask wearers at deli waiting on my weekly huge block of slice cheese for my troops, the locals no mask on bitching that school is now 100%cyber you would think get with the fucking program clowns.

A rant because we’re never going to get in front of this pandemic I just get so angry and frustrated these Qidiots maga anti mask or anti mask people are a public health threat, yea I’m still waiting on the mothership.

To me it seems the folks who are upset that schools are virtual are more upset about having to supervise their kid than if their kid is actually learning anything. For a lot of folks (and the business community) schools are more about child care (with some learning) so that their parents can go to work.

And to vaccines in general.

Not debating the fact that virtual schooling has been difficult for working parents who can't afford to miss work in order to stay home to supervise their children. But it's our reality now - it's just not safe to send kids to school unmasked and unvaccinated.

Make no mistake: this is entirely on antivaxxers and antimaskers and their enablers in elected office.

If you have no vaccines or masks, the virus spreads and schools close down. They would have to close with so many sick kids and faculty regardless of whether the closings were meant to stop the spread.

If you want kids in school, then you need to do something to make it possible to keep schools open. Get vaccinated. Wear a mask.

These people apparently don't care about their kids getting sick. Negligent parents.

due to damage inflicted by COVID or the effects of long COVID symptoms. These can include mental confusion and impairment, COPD-like damage to lungs, functional damage to heart and circulatory systems, along with other recurring symptoms.

What we may be seeing the rise of a group of GOP voters who are dependent on government to stay alive as they are no longer capable of working or caring for themselves. Since they are still in denial about Trump and Federalism they will probably vote against their own interests and make the whole nation continue to suffer for their ignorance.

...And they will continue to blame Biden, Democrats, and big government. Curiously those are the people and institutions to whom they owe their lives. Imagine...

so why should we? They want their choice so if they get sick, it's the choice they made, sometimes wanting to get sick because they think it will give them immunity or a chance to show people that it's no big deal.

So they make a choice. Why should anyone care if it turns out to be one that makes them seriously ill, lasts a long time, costs them a fortune in medical bills, or kills them, when they don't care?

It's a shame that there are so many COVID orphans out there. Plenty of people have gotten it from their kids who got it at school.
