I would have preferred that honor went to Rep. Shirley Chisholm, the first African American woman in Congress (1968) and the first woman and African American to seek the nomination for president. While I have hope she'll be on a later coin release, it would have been nice for her to be, in this instance also, the first.
Nice coin though...Oprah will be happy.
