Just spoke with Manchin. Suggests Build Back Better bill needs a lot of work to earn his support still. Also says he’s speaking with Biden as soon as today.

I wonder what the meeting with republicans this weekend was about? Maybe he should be meeting with Democrats. How does anyone defend this?

Manchin will never support this bill. Unless we get some R defectors, it’s going nowhere.

has no reason to vote for anything else.

That's why it was going to be linked to BBB...but, of course, that was somehow bad.

There won't be a BBB bill unless it gives extra cash to billionaires and fossil fuel companies, yes, we need his vote, but the price of that vote is taking out everything that will help people who aren't the 1%, maybe the .01%.

has the BIF he wanted, has his yacht, has his Maserati, and has his half a billion dollar coal deal. He don't need no damn BBB.

The only move that will work is if Biden PAUSES the release of any infrastructure funds from the BIF for WV until the BBB is enacted.

It's just sad that his constituents only vote for people who want to help the wealthy get richer.

Voting rights bill is the only thing that will give democracy a chance to survive.

Ask him what he will vote for, tell him he can write the bill himself, sign it and move on.

Then declare victory and work to elect more Senators to make him irrelevant.

We elect Feingold and he wouldn't matter. We win in Maine and he doesn't matter. We're stuck here because we made him relevant by not winning enough races.

The alternative is to drag this out six months only for him to say sorry just can't do it right before the election. Which is what we all know is going to happen. So, rip the band-aid off now and move on.

It sucks but he won, minimize the damage.

Sinema, too.

Neither of them appear to be capable of anything but stringing the rest of the party along.

as to say, here, you write what you can agree to.

They've been bombarding him with pleas for adding this or adding that, which I totally understand, but it's time to realize that's all a waste of time and just delaying the inevitable.

Get him to agree to 1.5 trillion dollar something, whatever it is he wants and Sinema can agree to, and move on.

It's do it now, or it's do it later.

Both JLVRA and FTP.

I would have liked to get the SALT cap lifted for a few years - but it's not going to happen. So - I at least want a dominating Senate so we can shove around Manchin, Sinema, and the GOP Senators.

Only way to have a shot next year is all eligible American Citizens having the franchise.
