I feel like I havea target on my back I am almost everything they hate in 1 package. And I defend people attacked by bullies as they escape. Because my consience wont let me be a bystander. I swore that I would not stand by twiddling my thumbs if they needed help.

If these rightwing trash decide to over run where I live to harass,threaten or kill people here what can I do?

Should I make a bug out bag? And grab Othello ? I dont drive. So what is the best way to handle this sort of shit and not have another psychotic episode?

Maybe a forum can be put up on DU to help people and share important things to do in case of rabid fascist takeover..

Because not everybody can flee the country.

2. Hopefully Something Is Set Up For Non Drivers

I don’t know but I know this Canada is paying attention to what may happen here.

I searched emigrating to Canada about a year ago and they seemed to be more than open to that.

Just looked again a few days ago and now they will have someone there to assist you.

November 2022 may be the decision indicator for more than a few of us. The plus is that most of Canada speaks English. Of course all of Scandinavia does too I believe.....they learn in school their language, English, and a third language, French, German, whatever.

It’s London, Ontario for me if it goes really south here. Hope it doesn’t.

6. There needs to be help for non drivers.

I could not get out of this country if I needed to,lack of car/ driving is a problem for disabled and poor people. Not being able to drive,cant afford a car effects your life and you are pretty much stuck where you are.

Please consider non drivers will need help or help fleeing.

I would start by distancing yourself from whoever is telling you this stuff might actually happen.
Look, these people are a problem and will remain a problem for some time until we can out-vote them, but I don't think you have to worry about the scenario you are describing.
Stay away from their MAGA screed rallies and you won't have anything to be concerned with.

5. I do not watch maga trash.

If I even get a whiff of maga I change channels or toss out whatever I'm reading ,click my way away from that toxic bullshit.

7. I don't think it'll come to that but

if you’re truly worried, maybe you should buy a gun and learn how to shoot it. I don’t advocate violence but maybe it would give you a little peace of mind.

8. My vision is nearsighted

I cannot see well enough to shoot. Last time I used a gun it was my cousins and it took me almost a half hour to hit an iron pan stuck to a tree in the middle of nowhere. I kept moving closer but I still missed. I fear I would hit a lot of innocent people. Before I actually would hit a perp.

Also I have depression and trauma history,If anything is dangerous a gun would not bethe best thing for me to have.
