(8,771 posts)She said her two daughters in marching band were ok but another mother fainted into her arms because her young daughter was bleeding from her ears while having a seizure. Preteen girls. Another mother said her children said they will never watch another parade. Kids watching the parade saw a car running into people - so besides the horrific injuries, hundreds of kids and adult parade watchers must be so traumatized

This entire thing has me with knots in my stomach, I can't even imagine the horror of being one of the parents.
It's difficult from so far away to do anything except be so angry.

(42,763 posts)I've been in touch and they were not at the parade. But it is likely that they have friends and neighbors that were. Sadly, I'm no longer surprised that there are always a few DUers whose first thought upon news of a tragic event like this is to try to show off how witty they are.
