I couldn't find out anything about KRit's birth, parents, where he lived in his early years, schools he went to (i.e., grammer school, high school), friends he hung with, any interviews of some of his classmates, neighbors, etc.
Everything I've read about him was - that he was a high school dropout, plagued by bullies, enamored with the police - most of the info was post shooting and where he got the gun, how he got to Kenosha, etc.
I really couldn't find out anything of his early years - birth to just before the shooting.
Does anyone have his early life bio's?

(21,645 posts)Didn't he say, after the trial, that he is going on to study nursing? He'll need a GED to get admitted to a nursing program.
OTOH, who wants a vigilante with a hero complex who has taken the lives of two people taking care of their loved one?

(81,635 posts)Rittenhouse attended the Lake Villa school for one semester as a freshman in 2017, said Jim McKay, district superintendent. McKay said he didnt know why Rittenhouse left the district or what school he attended afterward.
I dont know the details of his departure, said McKay, who added that he doesnt believe the teen had been involved in any sports or extracurricular activities. He was with us for such a short period of time.

(81,635 posts)Wendy and Mike eventually split up. (Mike says that he has been sober for years and wants to repair his family relationships.) Wendy had become a certified nursing assistant, but she continued to struggle financially. The family was repeatedly evicted.
Wendy sometimes felt too overwhelmed to help her kids navigate difficulties. In 2017, when Kyle was fourteen, she tried to resolve a conflict between him and two classmates, twins named Anthony and Jonathan, by seeking restraining orders. In a handwritten petition to the court, Wendy, who has dyslexia, wrote, Anthony calls Klye dumb stupid say that going to hurt Kyle. Anthony follows Kyle around to take picture of Klye and post them on soical media.
That fall, Rittenhouse, a pudgy ninth grader in dark-framed glasses, joined the Explorers program at the Grayslake Police Department, near Antioch. The police chief viewed the program as a way to teach self-discipline, responsibility and other appropriate life lessons to youths who may have a challenging home, social, or school life. Rittenhouse participated in a similar cadet program through the Antioch Fire Department. Jon Cokefair, the fire chief, told me, Most of the kids that are doing this, they dont play football, theyre not cheerleadersthis is their focus.

(35,756 posts)isn't unemployment the bare minimum to cover rent, food, etc.?
you really have to wonder about the criteria he used to make that decision.

(11,641 posts)A friend of his in Wisconsin did a straw purchase on his behalf as Kyle was too young to buy the gun himself.
Edit: Corrected for accuracy.

(25,278 posts)In this case it is difficult to find early bio info on KRit.
It seems like we got more info on the guys KRit shot & killed. Why didn't we hear more about KRit's formative years?
They usually probe very aggressively other defendants in other cases - but with KRit it seems like there was a blackout on his background info?
Or did I just miss hearing that info?

(11,686 posts)I was abused in all ways a person can be and bullied all through school. I CHOSE to not carry on my abuse just like all people can do. Yes, I was lucky to have therapy but in the end it is only our personal choice.

Has he ever had a complete psychological workup?

(25,278 posts)he was always a good guy - polite - and we can't believe that this happened to him?
What kind of crowd did he hang with? Who were his friends? What do they think about him?
Was he born in Antioch, Illinois? Did he grow up in Antioch? Did he have any part-time jobs?
Did he go to a public grammar school or a parochial grammar school? Did he grow up in a religious environment?
What social media networks was he on?
We usually get all this info about the accused - but it seems like in the case of KRit - we didn't learn much about him.
I'm just curious. Why haven't we learned this info? If his social media sites were frozen - why? Who froze them or who ordered the froze?
Like I said - I'm just curious.

What you come away with is a picture of a financially struggling family where the mom tried to hold things together, but didn't have the knowledge of what to do to help her son or her family. Then the rightwing swooped in offering legal help and she and her son got tangled up in their world and became unwitting pawns in this kooky worldview. It's pretty clear they didn't know with whom or what they were getting involved. I think they know now, but it might be too late to extricate themselves.
