They hate Republicans too
One thing these negative Biden polls hide is the fact that many independent voters also hate Republicans.
Most of the country has a negative view of both parties. They just swing back and forth every few years and vote in whoever they see as the "lesser of 2 evils."
Don't be fooled into thinking that Americans frustration with Democrats means that Republican policies have become popular or that Trump is suddenly appealing.
Unfortunately this is just what the American electorate does. They get mad at the party in power for not fixing every problem in the country and vote to replace them with the other party or just don't vote at all.
Bad thing is now Americans are considering giving back power to a party that's become an authoritarian death cult. And most are oblivious to what that would mean for our democracy.

They generally send what ever message they think will make everything a horse race, and divide the populace so we will never unite to get rid of the greedy asshats who control the $$$$$.
Keep US struggling financially, keep US ignorant and uneducated, and keep US divided.
The Powers that be have been doing it to the little people since the Pharos; except for about 200 years or so - The Enlightenment and the Rise of Science caught them by surprise. Their playbook has not changed much in the information age.
