Reported she is leaving next year. My choice is Mehdi Hasan. He is the closest person to Rachel's style, a truth teller.
Other people who have been thrown out there to replace Rachel means I have 1 less cable news hour to watch. Get the list of possibilities being thrown out there; Joe Scum or Mika, Both siderism's Ari Melber, Michelle Wallace but she wants to spend nights with her kids.
I am pretty sure that msnbc will turn further to the right than it already is.
I guess Keith Olbermann is out of the question?

(15,606 posts)Shes going to do elections and Special Reports, kind of like the Richard Engel programs MSNBC shows on Sunday evenings.
loks like they're changing the entire line-up. Don't know that I'll be sticking around. Not many of their on -airs compel me these days.

(15,606 posts)There only a few at MSNBC who can match Rachels intellect:
Chris Hayes
Ali Velshi
Jonathan Capehart
Perhaps Joy Reid
None of them can draw her ratings.
Someone who will be available in early 2022 but not often mentioned, is Jen Psaki.

(21,333 posts)Ali Velshi is closer to Piers.
Sorry but Capehart is good but back when he was on his buddy Chris Matthews show he brought out a newspaper with Bernie Sanders picture on it showing how he fought for housing for minorities back in his college days. Capehart insisted on Matthews show that the picture of Bernie was not him, that Bernie was lying. The picture in the paper was Bernie fighting for housing for minorities but I never saw an apology from Capehart. Ever since that episode I have no time for Capehart.

(23,099 posts)Oh how awesome that would be, just don't know if she would entertain the idea of doing a nightly show?

(102,251 posts)She has a lot in common with Rachel's manner and quick wit--as well as a previous WH spokesperson, Nicole Wallace.
