7. Teachers Support Tim Ryan

Teachers Unions Support Ryan’s Bid

The Ohio Education Association, the state’s largest labor union, and the National Education Association are recommending voters support U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan’s Senate campaign.

The OEA and NEA recommend candidates rather than endorse them. The OEA has about 120,000 members in Ohio.

Ryan, D-Howland, said he was honored by the support and has “been endlessly inspired by the resilience and creativity our educators have brought to their work day after day.”

Ryan has been endorsed by the three other Democrats in the state’s congressional delegation, more than 20 labor unions, the Ohio AFL-CIO and more than 200 elected officials and Democratic leaders in next year’s Senate race.
