(67,807 posts)lockstep GQP control of their caucus. Their leader controls everything. Through the last few years no one in the Senate broke ranks with leadership.
They do it.
I guarantee some of their members feel like their choking down a shit sandwich. But they keep quiet and then they "retire".
They don't make EXCUSES.
SineManchin is an EXCUSE.

Either could caucus with the Republicans and have their committees and chairs restored within a day. Its not a realistic threat.
