Sestak throws Democrats under the bus

on Jansing. Agrees with rethug.

Edit to add some content -

He insisted that Democrats had low expectations since the "promises" of 2008 were not fulfilled and thus they were "unenthusiastic". And kept emphasizing that this was why the polls were "so close".

He was basically right on the edge of doing RW talking points. The other guy there was some strategist for Boner and someone else (I forgot who - may have been Ryan?)...

and he kept insisting that the reason why they were so close was because of the usual "lack of enthusiasm" of Democrats and low expectations among Democrats.

The President and the Senate leadership alienated the Democratic base throughout the first two years of the Administration, and slews of disaffected liberals stayed home in 2010. That lost Joe Sestak a chance at Specter's Senate seat.

We're rebuilding the coalition now, but enthusiasm is still not where it needs to be. We need to push the ambivalent back firmly into the Democratic column and get them to the polls.
