that the Israeli government is tantamount to the Taliban ... or something off-kilter like that. (Like they behead people.) Or that we've trained the Palestinians for twenty years. Or that Israel and Afghanistan have anything to do with one another.

Occupying, training and arming the Palestinians, standing up their government, building their infrastructure and trying to make a better life for them. Maybe we should, although one of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

12. It's not about having spent a trillion dollars, or they're fighting...

Hamas, or being trained for twenty years, it's a simple observation, a comparison between how the Palestinians have been fighting for their land for way more that twenty years against what in many areas is, let's face it, apartheid, while the Afghani army and government had a trillion dollars invested in their training and equipment to fight for their land but refused to do so when the time came to do it.
