CNNIt's an open-and-shut case. Trump tried to demonstrate his lasting sway within the Republican Party by endorsing Wright. He chose the wrong horse. He took the "L." Everyone agrees.
Everyone except Trump, that is.
Wednesday, Trump said that he had been persuaded to endorse Wright by David McIntosh, a former member of Congress from Indiana and the current president of the Club for Growth, a fiscally conservative outside organization.
"This is the only race we've ... this is not a loss, again, I don't want to claim it is a loss, this was a win," said Trump. "The big thing is, we had two very good people running that were both Republicans. That was the win."

(29,149 posts)There was an open race in May, with multiple candidates of various parties, and since none one a majority, they had a runoff between the two top vote getters, both of whom were Republicans. (And both of whom endorsed trump ... though of course trump only endorsed the one who lost.)

(82,849 posts)Yeah, yeah it is, Bunky. You endorsed the candidate who lost the primary. The candidate you endorsed lost. That means your endorsement went to the loser. So you lost. The old riddle comes to mind: How many legs does a dog have if you call his tail a leg? Answer: Four. Just because you call his tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

(43,191 posts)It's based on the real story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a surgeon from Texas whose gross malpractice rate resulted in dozens of people being severely injured and several of them dying.
It stars Joshua Jackson, Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater, and it's all very well done.
But one thing that is very apparent about how Dr. Duntsch is portayed--he's an extreme malignant narcissist who will never, ever admit he's ever wrong or that he's ever made a mistake. Even when a patient is bleeding to death on the operating table, he'll still insist that he's the only one who can fix it.
It fits Trump's personality to a T.
He will never admit fault. He will never admit a mistake. He will never admit a loss.
