"Justice Kavanaugh's nomination was the first time that the FBI set-up a tip line for a
nominee undergoing Senate confirmation. It was established at the direction of the FBI's
Security Division to centralize and manage incoming information related to the nomination. The
FBI received over 4,500 tips, including phone calls and electronic submissions"
This country is truly corrupt.

(13,588 posts)correct. Joe should be able to demand the results of that investigation shouldn't he?
One thing about Kavanaugh. I think he revealed Dr. Fords identity. Before she came forward, there were at least two people that would know who was describing that incident. Kavanaugh and his alcohol junkie buddy.

I will never forget that day that the Republicans acted like they were giving us a gift to investigate for what a week or two more. Phil was on in the afternoon irate.. saying it wasn't enough time. Then later came on and said... Our guys are great! They will put 100% into it. He bet they would take Dr Ford out in that neighborhood and just drive up and down the streets until she recognized the house. He was very optimistic.
So even Phil, didn't know at the time it was a scam. I was totally suspicious when I saw Lindsay Graham change on a dime from lion to lamb. He knew it would be a scam.

(12,656 posts)Kavanaugh had a reputation for years living above his means, with some purchases several hundreds of thousands above what his pay could supposedly support. Club fees close to his annual salary, luxury stadium boxes, that sort of thing.
He was suddenly able to pay off at least $250k of those bills without having won a jackpot, cashing in stock, making a book deal, or coming into an inheritance - and just before he was nominated.
One questions how someone with basically a professional middle class income is able to live like the 1%, unless there's some off the books/under the table shenanigans going on.
