Do people even bother checking Latest Threads before posting?

Not that I really need an answer, because the answer is that many people seemingly don't and just go ahead and post something even though it's already being discussed. The ones that make me wonder the most are those who post in LBN even though it's news from days ago.

I myself have taken to posting very rarely anymore and never, ever in LBN as I did once years ago and had the thread deleted as I was told it was over 24 hours old (even though it wasn't). Some folks just operate on different wavelengths it seems and by different standards.

6. It used to bug me when people apparently don't read their own posts to

correct spelling errors, complete their thoughts, or provide sources. Some are just rants or "fuckity-fuck-fuck" without any context.

I accepted that part of DU once I realized that posters use DU for their own needs and not mine.
