(8,445 posts)That's what I would have written inside the card, if I sent one. But it's unlikely that I would have sent one.

(182,829 posts)Youve probably read stories about excuses given for not getting the vaccine but for white people it all boils down to their support of Trump. They can claim all sorts of other reasons but they literally are willing to die on that hill to support a guy and their own gullibility.

(25,816 posts)People who willfully won't get a vaccination and then get covid--I just don't know why their
health insurance would cover them.
This is what my departed dad would call "A rude awakening".
You're kind to send him a card. I hope he spreads the word to his hoaxer buddies.

(21,487 posts)that he and his wife, who is a nurse, are both vaccinated. But their adult daughter still refuses, despite their efforts to persuade her. It's not that she's a Trump supporter. It's just that she believes all the scary things about the vaccines that she reads on social media.
What can you do about someone who believes social media rumors and disinformation over her own medically trained and informed mother?

(3,496 posts)I'm pretty sure that if you got COVID you can't get the vaccine for a stated period of time. Of course that assumes he'll recover without any major complications.
You're a good person. Hopefully your concern may be enough to turn him in a better direction. But I wouldn't get my hopes up...
