How stupid is that? It's a disease that's no fun...at best. You test positive; your doctor tells you to quarantine; you feel like crap. And you realize you've been entered in the lottery for long haul COVID or the ICU or the cemetery. And you have to tell your family because you exposed them too.
And all you had to do to keep yourself out of that is get a couple of free shots that most Americans have gotten safely with no worries and no problems. You catch COVID when you didn't have to and you're, well, a loser.

(2,343 posts)we're both found positive this weekend. My son, who was with them all last week, tested positive today. He's 8 years old. Thankfully, you wouldn't know he was positive.

I'm kind of with that (Considering the dumbasses here in Japan that won't get vaccinated)

(21,662 posts)I encountered a covid denier in a local 7/11 store. I did not know her but the employees and a few customers who are neighbors of mine did.
The denier was walking around the store with her mask pulled down, sipping coffee and eating a doughnut. She overheard me asking a cashier if they enforce the mask rule or allow people to remove them inside. She got very verbally aggressive with me, demanding to know if I was talking about her. She insisted that covid was just the flu and no big deal. The whole time I was cashing out, she stood next to me, ridiculing my mask.
I just learned that she is one of the people in this area hospitalized with Delta. I am not surprised. If I were a better person, I would pity her ignorance.

(35,764 posts)Its only logical. Not even karma. No mask ergo Covid.
My brother lives in one of those states where they didnt mask up much so I wasnt shocked when I saw 85% of that states new cases were delta. In my state where everyone still wears them, its 15% of new cases are delta.

(21,662 posts)except for two small cities and a handful of villages. At best, it's a purple county, with Dem mayors but GOP state and federal representatives.
Currently, just half of all eligible people are vaccinated. That means that less than half of the total population is. About 75% of seniors are vaccinated. They raise the overall average since many other adults are ignoring the vaccine.
