Can someone please explain to me the conservative hysteria of what's going on at the border?

I have been trying to figure this out with no luck. And now it seems like they're escalating the situation. But for what. What are they after? Money? Drugs? Crime? Job? Ratings for Fox News? And what good would come from a visit to the border from Biden and/or Harris? Fox News is going to slam them no matter what they do, so it's probably best if they just ignore the trolls.

But as far as this latest escalation goes, I don't get it. As Michael Scott would say, please explain this to me like I'm 5.
