I think I'm seeing my "waning years" on the line tonight.

There is so much in the Romney/Ryan platform that will harm me and I'm getting past the point of being able to compensate for it. After a certain age you can't bounce back as easily. As independent as I am and as hard as I've worked all my life to be in a position of independence, there are still many things I can't control...like my health, the safety of my retirement accounts. I don't want to be taken care of, I want to be respected and to have some confidence that the person in charge respects me and my efforts. If I were younger and Romney gets elected, I'd leave the country. Not sure that's an option now. I have a lot riding on this debate tonight and I am in a better position than many my age. Godspeed Barack Obama!

While I'm over the "magic" age limit to keep Medicare, my wife isn't. Since I'm sure she's going to outlive me, I really fear for her later years if Romney should win.

I'm as worried as you are, if for slightly different reasons.

November 6th is going to be one long night.

Getting closer to needing dialysis and wondering if that will be covered under extreme conservatism. I'm guessing it would not be.

Who wins in November might mean the difference between life and death and how my family gets taken care of. My disease will get more expensive as time goes by....I need Obamacare, medicare, and social security to be there.
