If you're watching teevee, maybe you can report in about the "Countdown Clock" to the debate.

Tonight there will be a presidential "debate" in the "town hall" format. ( <----- consider them intentional air quotes to point up the contrived bullshit that has grown up around the sport of presidential debating.)

No one reports on the issues, only the horse race. Who is ahead by how many points. First there was the Countdown to the Souper Bowl. That was fine. But countdowns to presidential debates? That, it seems to me, simply debases the process.

How may networks are doing Countdown Clocks?

I know MSNBC used to be famous for this.

pundits.

I hope we will hear about ISSUES which we are hearing very little about in this 'race'. That's ALL I am interested.

I hope the President straightens out his comment about his and Romney's position on SS in the last debate. THAT scared a lot of people.

I hope Romney is not allowed to get away with lying about his positions on various issues and that the President articulates clearly Democratic values which when polled without mentioning party affiliation, always result in overwhelming support from the public.

I don't care what Media people think about anything. They are supposed to report facts, not talk about their personal 'feelings' but since that's pretty much all they do, I stopped going to them for any information way back during the Bush years.

ISSUES, that is what most people care about.

this is rock bottom? I don't know how they could make this more like a reality TV show than it already is. At least we know that nobody will ask these guys, "boxers or briefs?".
