Political strategic brainstorm just now

listening to historian Heather Cox Richardson podcast.

One thing that powers the R party at least in terms of numbers is the unholy alliance between what she calls the oligarchs, and the white supremacist misogynists.

Therein would seem to be an opportunity to cleave these truly mismatched bedfellows?

Who can we shave off? Help them see there is a better choice even for their own self-interest.

narcissistic personality. They are driven to disrupt. And unfortunately, like in families, a truly small number can disrupt the whole. We, i.e the Dems, need to crush them out of existence, but alas that is typicallly not in our nature.
