White supremacist President

Drumpf.

His VP is a christofascist, and also an old white man.

All you need to know about America right now.

**Highly recommend: Raoul Peck's "Exterminate All the Brutes," on HBO. 4 part documentary. SEARING to watch - to be honest, I have to leave the room about half the time. I do feel obligated to have exposure to the brutality and violence waged by white, Xtian, Europeans over 1000 years against the rest of the world, especially, people of color., that he depicts

The history is critical to know. The way Peck presents the material is incredible: he juxtaposes old and new, historical and current, dramatization and reality, music and film clips and art through the ages.

I can't recommend it highly enough. It will give you a whole new lens through which to view history, even if you are familiar with Zinn ("A People's History of the US" ) and some of the other events and dynamics over the past 1000 (only? maybe 2000...)years of white supremacy, domination, extermination.

Peck references the author, Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, in his work.

I was curious that Peck does NOT talk about "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee," which was my primer - and is foundational - about indigenous history in the US?

is needed. What colonial governments and their state religions did to native people is the story of the real savages.
