It would be nice to see any consequences...
I keep reading about this investigation or that investigation. For years, we read that this person from the Drumpf organization is gonna testify, this person copped a plea in exchange for information. And yet, no consequences.......unless the Democratic Party has now officially set the bar at "the evil people didn't get EVERYTHING they wanted, so that means we won!" Is that where the bar is for us? Trump colludes with Russia, the whole Republican Party either gives him a pass or helps him cover it up.......but we should be glad it didn't happen twice in a row? Have there been any consequences for any elected Republicans over January 6th? Any follow ups to the "investigations" into whether specific elected Republicans gave tours to insurrectionists prior to the insurrection? If it was liberal people of color marching on the capitol on Jan 6th and an elected Democrat responded with ANYTHING other than profound condemnation and efforts to jail and/or hang the insurrectionists......that elected Democrat would have been convincingly accused of treason by the Republican Party and would probably resign at the behest of Democratic Party leadership to show appropriate remorse and attrition. But 99% of the Republican Party still acts like the election was stolen and Jan 6th was both justified and a false flag liberal operation.....and no consequences. We, as voters, may not be feckless, but we keep electing and supporting people that are. And I don't think they are impotent by accident anymore.
