(82,849 posts)I'm observing the four paragraph rule:
And if you dont behave, Im going to talk to your daddy, he added, to which Fox then laughed.
The senators communications director, Leacy Burke, told CNN in a statement that Sen. Inhofe is always moved by the family stories of nominees, and was especially touched by Ms. Foxs tribute to her father during the opening remarks.
He made a lighthearted joke at the end of his questioning to recognize her father again since he was present for the hearing. As he said in the hearing, Inhofe looks forward to working with Ms. Fox once she is confirmed, Burke said.
I will grant you that most of the explanation is from Inhofe's communications director, but apparently Radhika Fox talked about the influence her family has had on her education and career, and her father was in the room to support her during the hearing.

(16,864 posts)I saw Bernie Sanders in an interview once in which he was asked who was the dumbest guy in the Senate, and he said "Inhofe" right away. I agree that he's probably not very bright, but I don't think he's evil, or that he would talk to someone in a hearing like it's been portrayed on Twitter.
