(9,986 posts)What beautiful young men. We need much more of that in this country and a lot less of those who think its their right to trample on everyone else!

(11,563 posts)Sometime after I started misting up, but just before the end, I saw this wonderful act of kindness and thought "Wait. No masks?"
What a world - beauty and peril in the same moment.

(67,782 posts)Years ago my mother saw a woman sleeping on a bench in the NYC subway. She went over to her and stuck a few dollars in her hand.
A cop saw that and almost yelled at her, "why are you doing that?". She said, "that woman could be your mother". The cop stopped talking, thought about it, and apologized.
Let's hope he learned something long-term from that.
It doesn't take much.

(14,014 posts)a police car pulled over and two cops jumped out and slammed all of us again the car.
They accused us of buying drugs from the guy.
I started to argue with them, but my friends, who were Black, hissed "Just shut up, you'll make it worse!"
Glad to see this video of this act of empathy and kindness turned out much better.
