(16,416 posts)Unlike most all of the other guest hosts, he could bring new fans to the show.
Joe Buck might be good, he has a really good voice and delivery.

and would be a good choice if he could draw more minorities to watch the show. The audience is strongly older and white, that old business of different demos choosing different entertainments. One could say color shouldn't matter, but it obviously is a factor in viewership, and the advertisers care who they can pitch their commercials to and how many are exposed to them. Interestingly, though, Jeopardy is drawing some young viewers.
Btw, for those anxious to promote AA, they're roughly 13.3% of the population. Whites, including white Hispanics, are nearly 75%, over 5-1/2 times as many. And of course there are Hispanics, a large demo, and "other" who deserve full consideration also.
It's been surprising to see how many known names are interested in the job. Sanjay Gupta, whose parents immigrated from India and met in the U.S., will be a guest host, and Mayim Bialik, the neuroscientist who played Amy Farrah-Fowler on The Big Bang Theory, is Modern Orthodox Jewish.
We're enjoying watching and have our favorites, too many, but we won't get excited about what will be a business decision.

(29,676 posts)I think Rodgers did a good job and I wouldn't be surprised to see him offered a game/quiz show after retiring from the NFL. Maybe a prime time weekly show during summer break?
Cooper did well but I think he's overextended. He has too many jobs already and a little one at home. That doesn't mean they couldn't have a Jeopardy special for him to host.
Ken Jennings did well and he eats and sleeps Jeopardy. He will always be one of the main contenders.
Mike Richards would be great. He knows the game. I don't see him doing it.
Robin Roberts might be an interesting choice. I'll definitely watch her.
