I have a teenage son and I have the typical worries that any mama has...that he’s being safe in his vehicle...that he’s feeling supported in school and in his home life...that he has good friends...but I cannot imagine the weight and worry of having a teenage child of color and the knowing that he could be killed by those in power for no reason at all. It’s too much.
