Watched 10 seconds of their post-debate coverage before changing channels. Seems like Romney bullying Jim Lehrer is a footnote to the win, but Biden interrupting Ryan is the entire story.
I could be preaching to the choir here. Check out this DU poll on whether Cnn is "fair and unbiased":http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021522022. No is currently leading 113-0 with 1 pass. DU's famous trolls must be taking the day off.

(45,319 posts)FoxNews ratings in and of themselves are nothing to brag about. They say 'number one in cable news' which means they tend to beat CNN and MSNBC and nothing more than that. They are far, far from number one in news, or from number one in cable. They never win their timeslot across the board, their best shows are beaten by other cable material, sitcome reruns, cartoons etc. In time slots where broadcast networks have a news show, Fox is at best a distant number 4 in news in that slot. Each of the broadcast networks individually clobber FoxNews, collectively the big three have an audience so much larger than cable that comparing them is sort of ludicrous. Millions and millions more viewers for each of the three, millions and millions more than Fox News.
Without CNN and MSNBC to compare to, there is no way to frame FoxNews as having 'good ratings' nor even a 'large viewership.
Look up the stats. Most people on DU think far more people watch cable 'news' than actually do, and in particular they think FoxNews ratings are higher than they really are. Much of FoxNew's day has viewership in the six figures in a nation of well over 300 million. And those 'ratings' count 'viewers over age 2' so actual adults watching, even smaller than the numbers seem to indicate. Look at the demographic information. They are often shouting at less than a million people. Local morning shows get more watchers than some of FoxNew's national programming.
Just some perspective....
