Snip
Among those voting against the bill was "QAnon Congresswoman" Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, along with Reps. Louie Gohmert, Andy Biggs, Andy Harris, Lance Gooden, Michael Cloud, Andrew Clyde, Bob Good, Greg Steube, and John Rose.
Far right MAGA acolyte Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida also voted against the bill.

The House is now voting on the bill to give Congressional Gold Medals to the Capitol Police. It's stalled twice amid opposition from the House Freedom Caucus, which wants changes to the language. Louie Gohmert, for one, doesn't like how it refers to Jan. 6 as an insurrection.

(21,768 posts)7. I'm sure we will both be seeing his name soon in a similar vote.
He is fundraising off of insurrection, and from what I hear he is doing quite well with it.

I don't want to hear from them, any of them. Hawley, Cruz, the idiot I'm stuck with, Cawthorn the Skeeve, the GunHumping conspiracy theorists in Georgia and Colorado, Ron the Racist Johnson, all of them.
They stood up and called for a stunt that was this close to becoming a congressional massacre.
They voted against our peaceful transfer of government even after the siege on the Capitol.
THey're now voting against the very Officers who protected them. They're asking to be strung up.
C'Mon, Merrick!
