This week's Obama/Springsteen podcast is a high point

For the unaware, President Barack Obama and pop music icon Bruce Springsteen have a Spotify podcast series named "Renegades: Born in the USA" that launched less than two months ago. It follows the pair's wide-ranging discussion on arts, culture, society and politics through weekly installments.

This week's version, the fifth in the series, was the best thus far. They looked at the shift in American values, materialism and economic stratification wrought by the Reagan Revolution, how it contrasted with their youthful experiences in the mid 20th century and the long-term damage the '80s has made across the nation.

It's worth a listen.

I downloaded the free app onto my Macbook so I could listen to the podcast. You have to deal with a few ads but it's not so bad.
