(14,004 posts)Im trying to stay patient but Im not sure why I havent received the $600 at least. I filed my taxes in early January and had to claim the Recovery Rebate.

(53,035 posts)It took me awhile to get the first check, but I got the $600 one quickly. So they've given you no explanation for the delay?

(14,004 posts)They said I should have received it and told me to claim it on this years tax returns. So I did. Now I wait.

(10,683 posts)along with my paycheck. I had to pay state and federal taxes again this year, so it's nice to have money deposited. I bought some shrimp tonight and bought the cat the fancy feast snacks.

She's widowed and retired and in a senior living condo thingy, with SS and pension income, so she didn't really need it. She was planning to use it to pay for a trip across country to see me in May (she's never been, even though I've lived here for over a decade).
Except her surprise Mother's Day present is that I already paid for the entire trip and activities. So, I suppose she'll find something else to do with it. Probably keep it on hand in case family or friends need help. It's how we do.
