(CNN) - President Joe Biden said that his dog, Major, is working with a trainer at Biden's home in Delaware following a biting incident at the White House.
"Is Major out of the dog house?" ABC News' George Stephanopoulos asked in a one-on-one interview with the President that aired on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday.
"The answer is yes," Biden responded. "Major was a rescue pup. Major did not bite someone and penetrate the skin. The dog's being trained now with our trainer at home in Delaware."
Earlier this month, Major had what one source described to CNN as a "biting incident." The person bitten by Major was a United States Secret Service agent, according to a Secret Service official.

(17,863 posts)My daughter's border collie has fear aggression issues. We have learned to accommodate her. If you are in her circle, she is the most loving dog, but outside of her circle we have problems.
She has looked at a multi-week program in Canada that would obviously be extremely expensive as well as take time away from work.
I loved the idea of dogs back in the White House, but I was concerned even before the biting incident about Shepherds being in that environment. They are naturally protective of their people (I found that out as a kid when I went into the house of a friend - I was lucky not getting bit). Only certain dogs can take a continually revolving set of people moving through their environment. My aussie would have had problems with that. My collie mix would have thought - look more pets to be had especially if it was from a woman - he always was a ladies man.
