So looks like the IRS won't withhold your stimulus if you owe back taxes ...

Or, at least, not when you're current on an approved payment plan, can't speak to any other situation ... like if you're a total scofflaw derelict who's like 10 years behind.

Which I actually have been before, so ... not judging

Who is on SS and received both stimulus monies direct deposited before, still has not received it and the IRS page is continuing to show Payment Status-Not Available.

What percentage of people earn too much? 80,000 single 160,000;joint?

If it’s 25%, and the number of adults is 275 million? Maybe 265 million non dependents? At least 100 million more people remain to get a stimulus payment.

About 75% are eligible for stimulus. So a lotta checks are going out, even tho marrieds only get one check. So people should know they are not alone if they didn’t get money yet. The deadline for getting a stimulus is oct 15 2021 I think. Everyone must file the 2020 return by then to scoop all stimulus checks which are missing.

.... I could find as far as taking any stimulus money is if your bank account is in the red. Although some of the larger Banks are temporarily zeroing out accounts in order for people to access their stimulus money, some banks can take enough money from the stimulus checks to balance overdrawn accounts.
