and then keep the card in the files where we keep birth certificates and marriage licenses and things of important nature
I think that is sound adviceEEE

(258 posts)The same thing when I got my 2nd shot. I have a photo of my card on my phone. We might have to produce evidence of vaccination in the near future.

(892 posts)Once we get our second shots, I will take photos on my phone and then be sure I make copies and store the original in my strong box and the copies in other locations.

(11,316 posts)(do NOT need another card to carry around) -- and I'm a little disappointed that I wasn't given any advice at all about ID, documents, who might require, where it should be kept ... Or virtually anything along those lines. And surely in the future it is going to be something that will be relevant to many situations?.
(phone is not a bad idea for other forms and ID either. - i.e. vehicle registration, proof of insur, AARP, roadside assist, etc. - and anything that is somewhat sensitive in nature -- throw a password on it -- and your phone.)

(13,556 posts)the phone. The album file has all pictures of all my cards, medicare, health, vision, dental insurance, SSN, AAA. It sure beats carrying them all around with the risk of losing a wallet at some point.
I can foresee a time when people are going to start asking for proof of vaccination. It's just that kind of world now.

(65,061 posts)All the staff was telling people that. I took the pic of mine right at the table before I even pulled my sleeve back down.
I essentially saw dozens flashing pix of their card.
Then, to have a dupe, I emailed it to our main inbox.

(31,392 posts)is set up for providers to upload the information of when, where, what vaccine was given to an individual. Yesterday I received an email from NC DHHS telling me how I could access my profile and, indeed, all the info is there. I suspect that once a Federal digital profile is developed, it will access this kind of state info that will probably be needed for international travel.
I also took a photo on my phone of my card after my second shot on Monday.
NC has been recognized as having the best demographic data in the country regarding the distribution of vaccines. Thanks go to our Democratic Governor Roy Cooper and the NC DHHS for being on top of the process.

(1,832 posts)Why keep important certificates and licenses in a place so easily lost and misused?
But just the vaccine stuff, yes absolutely!

(36,926 posts)Eventually we will travel internationally again, and you never know what an agent will ask about the vaccination.
