Manchin Will Block Infrastructure Bill If Not Bipartisan
March 8, 2021 at 7:35 am EST By Taegan Goddard
Said Manchin: Im not going to do it through reconciliation. I am not going to get on a bill that cuts them out completely before we start trying.
Manchin added the infrastructure bill can be big as long as its paid for with tax increases. He said hell start his bargaining by requiring the package be 100% paid for.

(4,894 posts)A small piece of me wishes Biden privately would ask Manchin for a proposal just to see what type of tax increase hes thinking about.

(5,349 posts)An infrastructure bill would pay for ITSELF, in new jobs, their multiplier effect, and future cost savings from not having to upkeep shitty roads and bridges.
