Dems seem to have outplayed GOP on the Covid delay.

Dems seem to have outplayed GOP on the Covid delay. After the all-night reading, @ChrisVanHollen simply got up, proposed shortening the debate from 20 hours to 3 and no Republican including @RonJohnsonWI was around to contest. In the end, the dramatic Bill reading delayed nothing

stop attacking Dems? You either win on the process or with votes. We need more votes in the House and Senate.

when Ben Nighthorse Campbell switched parties because he became exhausted with Dems leaning on him to be more Dem and less centrist.

If Manchin were to do that, Mitch NcCennell will be Senate Majority Leader.

No thanks.

If we can pick up enough seats in 2022, that will be different.

A single Senator can apparently propose a change to debate time without a quorum, as Van Hollen did, but they certainly can't pass a bill without a quorum.

Exactly what the Reps would have done.

Voterama could last all weekend, but they can probably force an end to that too. This will be passed this weekend is my guess, and then the House will take their final vote on Monday. Would be great to see it signed Monday or Tuesday in the Oval Office. No need to drag it out until the deadline and cause so much anxiety for people counting on the relief.

didn't care enough to see it through, or was missing cozy time in his jammies. Getting into his jammies drowned out....I was going to say "all other thoughts," but I guess that would be overstating it. Drowned out the other thought he is close to being able to carry simultaneously is closer to the mark.

The nitwits storming the Capitol, Trump's kids, their members of Congress.....the good thing is they are pretty much incompetent and dumb as rocks. And as the Dunning-Kruger effect shows, the very dumbest have no clue that they are dumb.

With the system completely rigged in their favor and every single advantage, they still manage to lose. Its amazing the damage they did even while being incompetent dimwits, scary to think what they could accomplished if they were smarter.

In the end, America will be saved because the people seeking to destroy democracy are among our most incompetent.
