A combative Meghan McCain demanded answers from White House press secretary Jen Psaki on how President Joe Biden's policy is all that different from President Donald Trump separating kids from their parents and detention facilities.
It was a comment that former Trump aide Stephen Miller attacked on Fox News Wednesday evening. Miller was the architect of the policy that took children from their parents to begin with, NBC News reported. "Miller saw the separation of families not as an unfortunate byproduct but as a tool to deter more immigration."
The Biden administration had to reopen an HHS facility because there are still a number of children whose parents haven't been found after they were taken from their parents. When Trump left the number was at 611 children whose parents couldn't be found. Wednesday, that number fell by 105 children thanks to the work of organizers on the ground, NBC News reported.

(7,263 posts)She should have made it clear from the start that these are kids who are currently in detention. McCain was framing it like these were new kids being separated. Psaki did say they aren't ripping children from their parent's arms any longer but she didn't mention the fact that the kids in the new facility were detained under Trump.

(1,176 posts)Just a right wing talking points spewing commentator who really does not do her homework before lobbing grenades. Her continual false equivalencies are boring tirades that do nothing to improve the mess left behind by trump and his GOP cronies. Glad we have Ms. Psaki there to swat down meghan's and peter doocy's false assertions with proof we are re-uniting children with their parents.

Megan goes off the rails based on her husband's views on politics. Other than her dislike of tRump, her views have always been extreme. If she is now supportive of tRump, she has completed her trip to the dark side.

It's like she's standing there patting her foot and demanding that Ms Psaki agree with her woefully idiotic statements.

(7,438 posts)Somebody needs to pull her off to the side and explain to her that Fox only hires porn star types and that despite her "grown-up" hair-do she just won't make the cut. No matter how often she pretends she's pulled a "gotcha moment" on her betters.

(3,131 posts)that happened on the view? I only ever see posts about something dumb someone (usually McCain) said or some infighting between the hosts.
Not a criticism. I watch plenty of dumb things. Just wondering of something positive ever happens.

(11,725 posts)Sometimes, she seems to be a lonely voice of reason, even thought steeped in Republicanism her whole life.
Then at other times - like this - she is taking a position that closely resembles her hairdo come to life.
