General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI can't watch the Stephanie Miller show because...
of the morons she has on with her. Stephanie is OK but the couple of guys that assist her with the show, one that has to make a joke about every news story and the other that looks like the muscle-bound guy on "Flip This House". They add absolutely nothing to the show.
I can take Stephanie's preening and looking into the mirror and flipping her hair because she is nice to look at, but she is not a serious person. She is a comedienne. There is not much serious news on her show but it can be entertaining sometimes.
Those that say turn to Current TV should offer something worthwhile to watch. Just my opinion.

(26,044 posts)I love Steph, Chris Lavoie, and Jim Ward. They have terrific chemistry together.
And, yes, it's a political comedy show, not an oh-so-serious, strait-laced examination of the issues. That's part of what makes it so fun to me...and why I always tried to catch her show on radio, years before it got picked up for simulcast on Current.

(1,846 posts)I love the comedians, including the Stephanie Miller Show. They have been much less manic over the last week than most, and some of the callers are hilarious (e.g., Road Rage Mary). I like the Daily Show and Colbert as well. They're a great break from the "serious" pundits.
There really is not much of an alternative in the morning. Morning Joe lost me awhile back. Joe reminds me of Bill O'Reilly...a bully.

(21,137 posts)You obviously know nothing about the show and are probably a troll.

(63,912 posts)Ward was incredibly good with his accents and his send ups. His drunk Tom DeLay was a classic as was that guy from WI (no longer in Congress) who had a freezer full of "pork prahducts." I had to stop listening to them while driving as I almost went off the road once I was laughing so hard!
Does she still play little clips from "Mommie Dearest"? I remember she used to play "Tina, bring me the axe!" and "I am NOT one of your FANS!"

(6,335 posts)So it has to be humorous to attract the listeners. THey have probably converted millions with their mix.
I love the show on Current. They get off some fantastic zingers. A lot funnier than Sat Night Live.

(20,841 posts)Love her show, wouldn't "watch" it though. It's a fun drive time political comedy show, not really meant to be the same style as pundit shows on TV.
She sure beats just about everything else on the radio in the morning.

(405 posts)I never thought that much of Miller though.
I can't stand Bill Press. Never watched his TV show, but was forced to listen to his radio show when he was on XM.

(3,769 posts)with the added benefit of humpdays with Hal Sparks (yum!) and Fridays with Fugelsang! What's not to love?
Its like a MENSA meeting with fart jokes!
What part don't you get? The MENSA meeting? or the fart jokes?

(26,500 posts)when he gets serious she cuts him off with some bullshit joke. I say this as someone who enjoys her show in spite of her.
